Toisissa tiloissa: MARKET-työpaja
Kaikki käyvät kaupassa, kaikki ostavat, kuluttavat ja kohtaavat kuluttamisen ympäristöissä. Market on hyperarkinen sukellus kuluttamisen kokemuksiin mikrotasolla.
Esitys on osallistava ja koostuu yksinkertaisista yksin ja yhdessä tehtävistä ruumiillisista harjoitteista sekä Market-tilasta, jonka luomme yhdessä näiden harjoitteiden pohjalta. Market tarjoaa vierailun ostoksilla ilman kaupan ympäristöä ja kutsuu kokemaan arkista kuluttamisen toimintaa uudella tavalla.
Toisissa tiloissa (TT) on helsinkiläinen esitystaiteen kollektiivi, jonka toiminnan ydin on kollektiiviset ruumiilliset harjoitteet, joiden avulla päästään kosketuksiin ihmisille vieraiden olemis- ja kokemusmuotojen kanssa, eli vierailemaan ”toisissa tiloissa”. Ryhmä on 20-toimintavuotensa aikana kehittänyt yli 200 harjoitetta ja esittänyt ja opettanut niitä lukuisissa osallistavissa esityksissä ja työpajoissa festivaaleilla ja tuotantotaloissa niin kotimaassa kuin ulkomailla. Other Spaces: MARKET workshop
Everyone buys, consumes and encounters in the environments of consumption. Market is a dive into consumption experiences in the microlevel.
Market is participatory performance and consists of simple collective body exercises and a Market space, created together based on these exercises. Market offers a shopping visit without the environment of the store and invites experiencing everyday activity in a new way.
Other Spaces is a Live Art Collective founded in 2004, in Helsinki, Finland. The core of our work is based on collective body exercises that bring into contact with different unfamiliar forms of being and experiencing. In other words, the exercises let us visit “other spaces”. Our participatory performances build on these exercises. Using simple techniques we bring also our audiences to other spaces. We also teach our exercise techniques in workshops and demonstrate them in public events and spaces. Over 20 years of operation, the group has developed over 200 exercises and presented and taught them in numerous participatory performances and workshops at festivals.
At Ärjän taidefestivaali Market will be presented and guided by the members of collective Hanna Heino and Mikko Ensio Lehtonen
